About the Institute
Intelligent programs, machines or robots have to be adaptive like we humans. The task of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IKI) is to explore this fascinating problem. Most important is to proceed goal-oriented to resolve practical applications.
IKI is under the direction of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ertel. It can draw on over 20 years of experience in applications of machine learning in a variety of areas such as medicine, engineering, robotics, web applications and e-business. .
Prof. Ertel is a member of Baden-Württemberg Center for Applied Research (BW-CAR) in the research unit Forschungsschwerpunkt Technologien für Intelligente Systeme (iTIS).
